Founded by Tommy Harlow, we are committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and customer-focused relocation solutions. These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services. By engaging with Tommy’s Moving Team, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • Company: Refers to Tommy’s Moving Team, established in 2013 by Tommy Harlow.
  • Client: Refers to any individual or entity engaging our moving services.
  • Services: Includes packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and any additional relocation assistance provided by Tommy’s Moving Team.
  • Goods: Any items, belongings, or property being moved under our Services.

2. Scope of Services

Tommy’s Moving Team offers comprehensive moving services tailored to your needs. Our Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Local and long-distance moves within the USA.
  • Packing and unpacking assistance.
  • Storage solutions if required.
  • Specialty item handling (e.g., pianos, antiques).

All Services are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing via a quote or contract. Tommy Harlow‘s vision for Tommy’s Moving Team emphasizes transparency, so we provide detailed estimates upfront, including any potential additional fees for unforeseen circumstances like weather delays or access issues.

3. Booking and Payment

To book our Services:

  • Contact us via phone, email, or our website to receive a free quote.
  • Provide accurate details about your move, including inventory, origin, and destination.
  • A deposit of 20% of the estimated cost is required to secure your booking.

Payments must be made as follows:

  • Full payment is due upon completion of the move, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Accepted methods: Credit card, bank transfer, or cash.
  • Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month.

Tommy’s Moving Team reserves the right to adjust quotes based on changes in scope, such as additional items or services requested on-site.

4. Client Responsibilities

As a Client, you agree to:

  • Ensure all Goods are properly prepared and disclosed (e.g., hazardous materials must be identified in advance).
  • Provide clear access to pickup and delivery locations.
  • Obtain necessary permits or approvals for parking, elevators, or restricted areas.
  • Inform us of any valuable or fragile items requiring special care.

Failure to comply may result in additional charges or refusal of Service.

5. Liability and Insurance

Tommy’s Moving Team, under the guidance of Tommy Harlow since 2013, prioritizes the safety of your Goods. However:

  • We carry standard liability coverage as required by law, typically $0.60 per pound per item.
  • For added protection, we recommend purchasing additional insurance through us or a third party.
  • We are not liable for damages due to inherent defects in Goods, improper packing by the Client, or acts of God (e.g., natural disasters).

Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery, accompanied by evidence.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled move date will receive a full deposit refund.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit.
  • No refunds for Services already rendered.

Tommy’s Moving Team may cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen events, providing as much notice as possible.

7. Prohibited Items

For safety and legal reasons, we do not transport:

  • Hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, corrosives).
  • Perishable goods.
  • Illegal substances.
  • Live animals or plants without prior arrangement.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through mediation in the state where the Service originated. If unresolved, they will be subject to the laws of that state.

9. Changes to Terms

Tommy’s Moving Team reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of Services constitutes acceptance.
